While at KOIN 6, I had the privilege of interviewing countless people and writing hundreds of stories. Working in news put me through so many emotions—losing my faith in humanity and having it restored all in one week, falling in love with Portland time and time again and being forever grateful for the support I found in my coworkers.

As part of the small digital team, I helped manage KOIN’s website and social platforms—keeping everything up-to-date with the latest news around the city and relevant national news. This included writing multiple stories at once, researching to verify claims and collaborating with reporters in the field, as well as producers in the studio.
